Calling all Houston Divine 9 Greeks! Its that time of the year again. Houston National-Panhellenic Council Greek Weekend!
 
Mark your calendars for April 29, 2011 - May 1, 2011
 
  •  Happy Hour will be on Friday, April 29, 2011. Chicago Bar &  Grill - We're taking it to the north side!!!  This is also a Greek owned establishment so let's support her! The owner is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. 
·      Day of Service, on Saturday, April 30, 2011,  we will be doing a project with with Habitat for Humanity. Please come prepared to work; time is 7:30am to 2:30pm. Lunch will be provided.
 >> Please wear your NPHC T-shirt on this day << proceeds will go to our first ever NPHC Scholarship!

 

·      3rd Annual NPHC Greek Family Picnic, Sunday, May 1, 2011. Food, Friends, and Fun once again! (children & spouses are welcome)  Vendors will be on site. 
      Get prepared for the strut/stroll competition.Also, you all asked for games so we also will have an old school kickball game (tournemant) this year!!! Get you teams together and in shape! (9 player per team).

National Pan-Hellenic Council of Houston, Inc.



On May 10, 1930, on the campus of Howard University, in Washington DC. The stated purpose and mission of the organization in 1930 was “Unanimity of thought and action as far as possiblein the conduct of Greek letter collegiate fraternities and sororities, and to consider problems of mutual interest to its member organizations.” Early in 1937, the organization was incorporated under the laws of the State of Illinois andbecame known as “The National Pan-Hellenic Council, Incorporated.”

Chartered in 1958, NPHC-Houston has over 25 active member groups on its roll composed of the nine Greek letter Sororities and Fraternities from the Greater Metropolitan Houston area and neighboring communities. NPHC Houston creates opportunities and promotes interaction through forums, meetings and other methods for the exchange of information and engages in cooperative programming and initiatives that encompasses Health, Politics,Economics, Education, and Environment.
